Ohhhhhh attacking Christian boogie men how original.
My petition is people that are easily offended be put in a culture proof box for a week. An open mind is like a fortress with its gates unbarred and unguarded. A narrow mind is a focused mind.

It's reminds me when a person complained about an ash tray in the CQ.
Tis reminds me when someone complained about how females don't get high heels.
Yet another politically correct diatribe by OP. I hear people bashing religon all the time, but I'm not going to cry about it. I guess it's part of being a mature adult and not a young adult trolling people. An open mind is like a fortress with its gates unbarred and unguarded. A narrow mind is a focused mind.

Immersion broken? No what people don't like is pointless threads. your playing a game called EVE in a universe called NEW EDEN. Hmmmm Want those religious references taken away too to improve your immersion. An open mind is like a fortress with its gates unbarred and unguarded. A narrow mind is a focused mind.

Yeah , nothing like a good ole "fundie" Christian, your lack of respect for people who belief something different is apparent.

If a little cartoon encapsulates your whole thought process, I am sorry at the level of your intelligence and how easy swayed you are by pictures. Most of the vitriolic disdain comes from the side you chose.
No one is perfect though. Christians say some dumb things too, but we don't actively pursue engage and attempt to destroy other peoples opinions and beliefs. At least I don't. An open mind is like a fortress with its gates unbarred and unguarded. A narrow mind is a focused mind.

I'm not passing moral judgement on any one.
All I am saying is, I don't lampoon your beliefs so don't lampoon mine.
and if your offended by something as simple as the word "Jesus" you really need to check your self. An open mind is like a fortress with its gates unbarred and unguarded. A narrow mind is a focused mind.

Seven Koskanaiken wrote:Hold on, some Christians sign up to a game, post some cans which are against the rules of the people who run the game they signed up to, then, actually not only cease doing it when being told the rules but wish to go on breaking those rules set down by the creators of the game and for everyone to ignore it.
But the people who are saying "stop breaking the rules" are the disrespectful ones? What?
If the cans bug you that much do a petition.
Do you think whining on the forum is going to stop people posting their beliefs? Do you honestly think you can expunge religion? Even if you managed to destroy every holy book of every religion that ever existed, another one will crop up. An open mind is like a fortress with its gates unbarred and unguarded. Kerr Ironside wrote:I hate to interrupt your religious debate, but some of you seem to forget something: the right to believe doesn't mean the right to preach. Believe what you will, and keep it to yourselves and other members of your religious group. Your freedom of belief is granted; but nobody ever granted you any explicit right to proselyze. If someone tells you to stick that Jesus up yours, they are NOT taking away your freedom of belief in any way. Actually, there are countries in the world where you'd end up in jail for trying to spread a religious message without prior consent. Just sayin'.
Understood and I don't disagree.
There are mechanisms in Eve that give players the tools to report things they find offensive. But if you read through this whole entire thread you find many people parodying other peoples beliefs, specifically Christianity. I run into things I find offensive, but do I whine and complain and say it should be banned? No, by no means, why you do and believe is your own prerogative. But acting like an angsty teen fighting "the man" is not going to convince anyone. An open mind is like a fortress with its gates unbarred and unguarded. A narrow mind is a focused mind.

Which side is disrespecting who?
Don't play coy, from your previous posts I can surmise that you would "imagine a world with out religion"
My point was, do you think if CCP officially came out and said "No Religion remarks on cans" people would actually follow that rule? Or CCP would really enforce such a rule? Its kind of a huge waste of time, and a money sink to troll for a few cans that have a message on them. An open mind is like a fortress with its gates unbarred and unguarded. Quote:My point was, do you think if CCP officially came out and said "No Religion remarks on cans" people would actually follow that rule? Again, what's so hard about following the rules? Because, yes, that pretty much is the rule, and for some odd reason, a certain segment of players have a very hard time following itGǪ
Because in a sandbox game people are bound to break the rules, whether intentional or not. And another equally sized segment gets offended.

Because they choose not to follow the "simple" rule. If its such a"simple" it should not cause such a commotion. Or is all rule breaking equally bad? An open mind is like a fortress with its gates unbarred and unguarded. A narrow mind is a focused mind.

So basically, you're saying that just a bunch of unrepentant griefers GÇö they could easily follow the rules, but they're a bunch of [lower backs] and don't because they don't feel like it. Would you say that there is any way to stop them short of simply banning them completely? Quote:If its such a"simple" it should not cause such a commotion. Non sequitur. The rule is ridiculously simple: don't bring religion into the game. What's causing the commotion has nothing to do with the simplicity of that rule, but with the apparent chronic inability of some people to follow it, and having no excuse for what they do. The rule does not cause any commotion at all; obnoxious behaviour does.
Is it REALLY that obnoxious or all people making mountains out of molehills? Religion in the game does not bother me one bit.
Just like when individuals do things that are against naming conventions that are some what offense to others doesn't bother me.
There is only a small percentage of people that get offended at religion. Its like schools banning peanuts cause one kid has allergies, its insane.

Especially when the rule in question is so ridiculously simple?
I assume you drive a car or have driven a car. When you go 5 mph/kph over the speed limit you are breaking a rule, do you think you should be arrested and fined? You are offending the gov't by not following its rules. Even though its such a simple rule, just follow the speed limit. Point being is, we all break rules, and some rules are more important than others. And, in this instance the rule in question is trivial at best. Now if every system was littered with religious material and every person named their ship religious that would be a problem.
But that is not whats happening. An open mind is like a fortress with its gates unbarred and unguarded. A narrow mind is a focused mind.
